• Short History

  Alethesia was given to the all-female priesthood as a babe. Raised among them, she has known little else. She developed her talent for blood magic early, like most children, but knew well enough to keep quiet - in fact, her powers frightened her so much she was far too scared to tell anyone.
  
  She rose through the ranks of the priesthood regardless. Although intelligent and clever, Alethesia had the benefit of her magic... just a small cut of her finger, or somewhere innocuous, was all it took to make her talent noticed with approval. Someone so devout, so good, so pure, could never be a blood witch...
  
  The priestess keeps a small source of blood handy. Typically caged animals, like song birds... During fertility rituals where the priestess must lie with the consort and be forever changed, Alethesia bleeds at the wrists into the dirt and forces the crops to grow, keeping her forever chaste.
